The title sounded like Danzel Washington's Man on Fire (2004), one of many favourite movies of mine.  But this weekend ride was not about a body guard  who went out to hunt everyone involved in the kidnapping of his client's little girl. It's about Man"Tador" making a comeback after the Mantin-Ladu Interstate Ride. "The Man on Fire" is the most apt description there is to describe Bro Man's appearance that had everyone at Sungai Balak toll awed in amazement.

It was a cloudy and  slightly gloomy Sunday morning, perfect weather for long distance ride. Saipol,  Zam (B), Zam (k), Ah Meng and Wan were among the earliest to arrive at the Sungai Balak toll. The next to arrive were Li and our support bike, Razi.

While waiting for Mitador to arrive, which he never did - he must had over slept as a result of nocturnal activities, we were awed by the arrival of Bro Man in his all new outfit.  If there's a word to describe Bro Man's transformation, that would be "Re-Branded".  Both the man and the machine were upgraded.  Bro Man is now "Mantador".... yehaawwww...

Limber up
Most of us, especially me, sometimes forget the importance to limber up before engaging into strenuous physical activities in order to reduce the risk of self inflicted injuries. When I was in college, in Penang, we used to call this as "Ter-kendon". Back then when we're still young, we'd recovered faster compared to now at a more mature age. Besides that, we don't want the old injuries to come creeping back with a vengeance.

From all the rides I've been through thus far, I think Saipol is the only person who consistently limber up prior to any rides at the RV. In fact even at pit-stops and during breaks. We all can learn a thing or two from Saipol here. Hence I've posted two tutorial videos on limbering and warming up before rides. This is serious stuff, so pay attention people!

The split route
Since there was no sign of Mitador, our aspiring King of Mountain(KoM), we decided to start cycling instead of waiting as it was getting late. We cycle causally through Sg. Ramal up until Bukit Kajang. Saipol broke away from the main group right when we enter the Sungai Ramal junction.

From here, we were split into  groups with Saipol, Li, Ah Meng and Zam (besar) went to Pajam while the rest including me continued our Sungai Long course.
