Roller-rama

Last Tuesday I paid a visit to a friend's bike shop because I wanted him to check on my cranky BB90. It was at about 9.30ish in the evening and typically during this time, they'd be cleaning up and calling it a night. But to my surprise I saw a few people on rollers and trainer busting their lungs spinning those wheels like hamsters.

Apparently this friend of mine now does "night class" program for those who want to improve their cycling techniques and cores such as posture, spinning, cadence, endurance and aerobics.

Roller helps with balancing too. This particular skill is crucial when cycling in a peloton where the space between bikes is just a few inches. When you're forced to consistently keep the RPM to 100, averaging at 30KM/H, you will develop not only good mental focus but also your will more alert. If you drifted away you'd lose focus and speed, you'll slip.

Hmm....may be I should think about this.... Not a bad idea to add another routine in my secret training program.

How is trainer is different from roller? Google it.
