Tour "Dah Hilang Akal" 18th Jan 2008
Cruising the LEKAS highway
Route: Toll-Bukit Kajang-Mantin via Lekas Highway
Mileage: 86 - 100KM
Total Tour Time: 5:46'15"
Total Cycle Time:3:33'12"
Calorie Burnt (according to my bio-spec): 3799 with 44% Fat.
Average Heart Rate: 131
What a ride it was.
The RV point was Toll Bukit Kajang where Man Ciocc and his gang assembled. From Toll Sg. Balak, Zack, Sham (Balakong), Man (Utusan), Romzi, Cikgu Sham and my self.
We started the ride from Toll Bukit Kajang, 13 man strong. The weather was sunny and warm. The sky was blue, promising to be a hell of "berasap" ride and it was true enough.
Saturday 11 Jan 2008 Ride
Route: Batu 18->G.Peres->Sg. Congkak
Sorry for the late posting. I've been kinda busy lately.
This time around, we joined Man CIOCC's entourage to Genting Peres. We started off from Pekan Batu 18 in a huge group (more than 15 bikes, at least).
Then my problem started rigt before we flaged off. My cleat was damaged thus I couldn't get my left shoe porperly locked on the pedal. After numerous attempt (Saipol came back from the peloton) we finally got it locked. By then we were 10-15 minutes behind the last man.
We reached the "kaki bukit" where the pack was already there to take a breather while waiting for the rest to arrive. The group started the climb after 15 minutes break.
Then my ordeal with the pedal started again. After 10 minutes of trying I finally managed to get the shoe locked on and started the climb.
Overall it was a fun ride. Unfortunately I couldn't join the rest of the pack to Sungai Congkak due to the problem with my cleat. I withdrew when we arrived at the RV point at Pekan Batu 18.

Bike Fitting

While on my way to a GPS vendor, I came across the Bike Boutique at Metropolitan Square.
Unfortunately i couldn't do the Bike Fitting because the technician wasn't around. According to the sales guy, the fee is around RM 100.
I'd figure before we buy a bike frame it'd be a good idea to get our measurement right since The Bike Boutique has the tools. Let's go here on Saturday. It's open from 10.30am till 8.00PM.

Thursday 1st January 2009 Review
Seperti yang telah dirancang kayuhan tahun baru ke Lebuhraya Lekas telah berjalan lancar walaupun cuma 6 orang sahaja yang berkayuh.
Pukul 7.30am aku dah terpacak dekat Tol Sg Balak. Syamsul sampai lebih kurang pukul 7.50am bersama kawannya. Due to technical difficulties Faizol, Saipol & Cikgu Sham sampai sedikit lewat... Tayar golek dalam pukul 8.10am menuju ke Lebuhraya Lekas.
Seperti biasa Faizol dah tarik awal-awal lagi diikuti oleh Syamsul & membernya. Saipol, Cikgu Sham & aku tertinggal dekat belakang... Regroup semula dekat Tol Kajang Selatan Lebuhraya Lekas. Kayuhan bersambung ke Tol Pajam & Faizol memulakan tarikan silih berganti dengan yang lain. Headwind all the way to Tol Pajam.. downhill pun tak terasa sangat disebabkan angin...
Exit Tol Pajam & heading to gerai nasi lemak in front of Komuter railway track before Stesen Komuter Batang Benar. Refill apa yang patut & seperti biasa berborak pasal basikal & isu semasa. Anyway thanks to Khairi (betul ke nama dia nie...member Syamsul) for the treats.
Return trip bermula & bertembung dengan group kayuhan organised by Due Roda Extreme dari arah Beranang ke Nilai. As we enter Tol Pajam dah terasa angin bertiup dari depan... aduh... headwind sepanjang Lebuhraya Lekas... memang torturous... Pit stop dekat Tol Kajang Selatan & regroup. From there we decided to take Silk Highway towards Sg Long... ada la sikit climbing.
We split into 2 groups after Tol Sg Long. Faizol, Saipol, Cikgu Sham & myself continue cyling to Tmn Sutera via Cheras Jaya & Syamsul & his friends decided to take Jalan Cheras lama via Sg Sekamat back to Prima Saujana.
Overall mmg menyeronokkan. Cuaca pun cantik... panas. Tapi sorry la gambar takde...Faizol tak bawak camera sbb tak charge battery.
