Sunday-October 25th 2009: The weekend Jackpot

Latest Updates: 2 out of 2 videos have been uploaded.

At the base...waiting for other cyclist to pass by...

Saipol texted me last night asking If i had a ride plan and I had no solid one for Sunday. I was thinking on doing the LEKAS earlier on but one of our members (you know who) couldn’t do long distance today. I guess he’s still in cooling-off period. Tough luck bro...I wish you all the best in handling your B1N1 (Bee-One-N-One) case. Consequently back to default route... Sg. Long.

Note:For those who do not know yet, the B1N1 pandemic only affects legally married male of the homo sapiens species.

The weather was gloomy and a bit windy but not enough to dampen our spirits unless it was a down pour. We hit the road at 7.45am and headed straight to Toll Bukit Kajang and boy oh boy we were in for a surprise, another long lost cycling buddy, Romzi, was there taking a break from a solo ride from Balakong. What a weekend. It's rather unusual, but back to back meeting by chance of long lost cycling buddies was just “something”. It's like you just hit a jackpot.

Saturday Oct 24, 2009:The Born again Roadie

Latest Update: 2 videos have been uploaded

Route: Sg. Long
Riders: Farizal, Zaha, Bro Man & Faizol

Alhamdulillah, It was a sunny Saturday Morning. The air was fresh, the road was dry and the feeling was as great as ever. Yes, it's a ride day.

I started alone from the RV since Saipol couldn't join the morning ride. I was going to rendezvous with Farizal at the Bukit Kajang toll Plaza while Zaha would be waiting at the check point, 750 meters away from the 1st peak. The traffic was unusually a bit hectic today. The engine roars broke the tranquil morning while the fumes from their exhausts spoiled the cool breezing air.

The newly patched road en route to the Kajang town exit was a site for sore eyes. With no white lines, and patches of grease and splattered oils, I had to be extra careful with the traffic behind.

Sungai Long's Outbound Climb

What's the strategy here?

Recently I discovered few images and videos of a solo ride on April 19th 2009 while checking trough my archives.

I took some pictures of how the route look like of climbing the 1st peak from the opposite direction.

I don't recall why I did the solo ride. It might have been one of those days where you had to do it solo. It's one lonely route. Lucky for me there were no stray dogs around.

Sunday-October 18th 2009: GreenHorn Earned the Ribbon

Gloomy weather... nice...dampen tarmac... not so easy on the tires...but the ride must go on

It rained in the wee hours on Sunday Morning.

Woke up early thinking that we might not get to ride in the morning due to wet roads. A part form being slippery, I definitely need to clean the bike especially the drivetrain. Wet road usually causes more sands and debris sticking on your chain, cog and pulley. The sand will stick to the oil and grind away at your drivetrain if it is not properly cleaned and lubed.

Just who the heck is Farrah Aidit?

Pardon the anomaly of the post. It's rather unusual because we need "clear" the mystery shrouding this one Farra Aidit or Farra that has been posting numerous questions on the chatter box. We do not now for certain about the real identity but her/his presence has stirred the blog, a bit. You know what I mean fellas....

Lucky for some of us, before we got carried away with this one "Farra"'s charm, Zack saved the day. I got to hand it to you, who ever you really are, you're a really funny person....

You guys better be careful not to get duped.... hahahah..... really slick.....Awwwwwwww....

Important Note:

I need to set the record straight here. It's obvious that we were wrongly informed on the real identity of this Farra or Farrah Aidit and based on this premise I've posted a picture that was meant to be a humor of a male trying to impersonate a female and establish real communication on the chatter box.

After numerous questions asked on the identity with no confirmation nor denial, we took it that the person was still joking with his or her alter ego and keep on posting with different name.

Due to recent posting of the altered image whom we thought was the unidentified person on the chatter box, it has caused grievance to wrongly accused party and for this I wish to apologise for the "rudeness" of the humor.

And to Farra or Farrah Aidit, please stop pretending and disclose you real identity.

Saturday October 17th Ride: Novice on HotRod spider

Greenhorn on HotRod SARS Spider...Azlan's maiden ride to Sg. Long

Darn...it's Saturday again. Time sure flies and it's already passed mid-October. This kind of made me to think in retrospect of the many targets set earlier this year. Hmmmm....yeah... we still haven't done the PD ride...

Anyway....back to the fun Saturday ride. This time around it was a bit different...we got ourselves a company. A novice, a greenhorn, a beginner by the name of Azlan. Yeap.. we took him for a ride to the Sungai Long....what an impression it was...

"ShitHot" Big Double Loop

Date: Saturday, October 10th 2009
Route: Sg Long Big Double Loop

Check it out...the great climb

As planned, we did the "ShitHot" Big Double Loop of the Sg Long route. The RV was the usual Sg. Balak Toll and we started the ride at 7.35am. Earlier on we were a little bit skeptical on doing the big double loop but yes, we did it and it was a good loop and a good ride as well.

Weekend Inter-State-Sunday Ride

Date: 4th October 2009
Route: Kajang-Mantin-Kajang via LEKAS
Distance: 86KM (Based SILK Highway's Sg. Balak Toll Plaza)
Riders: Zack, Zaha & Faizol

Photo Session at 2nd RV

Don't be deceived by the grandeur of this blog title, thanks to LEKAS highway, the routes to Pajam, Mantin and pretty soon Seremban are now more accessible. I don't have the right word for this but yes, there's an alternative highway to Seremban other than usual KL-Seremban Highway.

Anyway, we came about with the plan on the Saturday ride while "lepakking" on top of the last hill after the Sg. Long Toll. Unfortunately Syamsul, Saipol and Cikgu Sham couldn't join the ride due to certain categories of domestic problem or challenges.
