Sunday 101010 Ride

It's already 7.00am and it's a gloomy Sunday morning. Did a final check on my bike especially the pressure, drivetrain and brakes  for safety and piece of mind while cycling.

The Sungai Long route has evolved in the span of  2 to 3 years. Back in 2007 when I started cycling with Farizal and Saipol, we used to cycle via Saujana Impian through Kajang Perdana, Sungai Jelok and took the exit to Sungai Long after the last "bastard" hill.  This route was fun and hilly but the road conditions were bad as there were many pot holes and sandy road edges. The traffic was the worst part as there were lots of big trucks carrying all sorts of dirts from the near by area.
The route was broken into 4 main phases. The first phase was from Sungai Balak to Saujana Impina via Jalan Sungai Sekamat. It's pretty decent but with a lot of speed bumps from Kg Sungai Balak up until the main road.

The second and most thrilling phase was from Saujana Impian through Kajang-Semenyih Bypass. The hilly road was challenging up until the "bastard" hill. The hill was not actually the highest peak but it was the steepest and hardest than the rest.

The third phase was the Sungai Long dragon back and the fourth and final phase was the Jln Sungai  Long-Jln Sungai Sekamat, passing through Taman Rakan, Cuepes  and back to Kg. Sungai Balak.

The current Sungai Long's route is a lot simpler than the previous one. It think we may need to re-look into the current route plan to add some variations or improvements to it. We already did it with the  one and a half, double and the ambitious tripple loop but they are pretty much the same route but just the matter of clockwise or counter clockwise.

Here's some picture snapped from my HTC Touch2 phone. Hopefully I can get a better camera when start to do long distance rides.

Overall it was a fun ride.

@ the Sg Balak RV: Only Zack, Dr. Azlan, Saipol and me I were there. We hit the road at around 7.45am.

Now he's stretching...

Cikgu Sham and his SOMEC

@ the last RV after the Sungai Long's toll. As seen on the picture, Saipol was at it again, this time more stretching.

Yup...

Yes...pull your arm further to the back while gritting... the farther the better...

Zack was enjoying the show. Saipol, as usual, unperturbed kept on stretching and the whole act began  to look like "pocho-pocho".

Yes... twist your bum out a bit while pulling your shoulder to the outer-right position

Zack and Cikgu Sham seemed to enjoy the show...

Okay... next the marching steps...

Head to he left and to the right while marching with your legs up and down..

Cikgu Sham carried his bike across the road. He did the reverse route.

Biasa, makan time..

Faizol
